Fresh - Movie Review

It's about giving. Giving yourself over to somebody. Becoming one with somebody else, forever. And that's... That's a beautiful thing. That's surrender. That's love...  Fresh (2022) - directed by Mimi Cave. Starring Daisy Edgar-Jones, Sebastian Stan, and Jojo T. Gibbs. In the era of popular such as Tinder and Bumble, there are inherent fears that can come with online dating. Fresh capitalize on this fear and uses it as a tool to create fresh, (pun intended)  21st-century horror films. Without giving away too many spoilers,  Fresh  follows the protagonist, Noa, a young woman fed up with the dating scene, before she meets Steve, a charming doctor, with a mysterious past. After the two hit it off on their first date, the two decide to go on a trip to Steve's cabin in the woods, where the fling takes an unexpected turn for the worst.  No pun intended  Fresh  is a very fresh take on the horror genre that has become saturated with found-footage ghost films o...

Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

May The Force be with You Star Wars Original Trilogy:  Episode IV: A New Hope (1997), Episode V: Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi  Star Wars Prequel Trilogy: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005) Star Wars Sequel Trilogy: Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015), Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017), Episode IX: Rise of the Skywalker (2019)      Star Wars is quite possibly the biggest movie franchise in history. When George Lucas created the original film back in 1976, I am sure not even he could have imagined that the film would go on to make eight other films in the franchise, two spinoffs, and multiple spinoff television shows, as well as video games, and amusement park rides and attractions.          While of course I was always ver...

The Dark Knight- Review

"  You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become a villain "   The Dark Knight (2008) - directed by Christopher Nolan. Starring Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman.  The  Dark Knight  is   widely regarded as one of the greatest superhero films ever made. It is the second film in the Christopher Nolan  Batman  trilogy, and the seventh live-action adaptation of the caped crusader. Personally, it is my all-time favorite  Batman  movie. When I first saw it in 2008, I thought it was the best movie I had ever seen, fourteen years later, I'd say the statement still holds true.  While the film is most notably known for Heath Ledger's iconic portrayal of the Joker,  The Dark Knight  is a great film in multiple aspects. Takeaway iconic comic book characters such as Batman, Joker, and Two-Face, it is still an extremely well-paced, cri...

It is an important film not only for the sci-fi genre, before its influence on pop culture as well.  While the two f...
