    Star Wars is quite possibly the biggest movie franchise in history. When George Lucas created the original film back in 1976, I am sure not even he could have imagined that the film would go on to make eight other films in the franchise, two spinoffs, and multiple spinoff television shows, as well as video games, and amusement park rides and attractions. 

        While of course I was always very familiar with the franchise and had seen a few of the most famous scenes( "No, I am your FATHER"), It was not until recently that I decided to sit down and truly watch all of the films. Star Wars fans are very passionate about the movie franchise and protective. I remember back in 2019 when The Rise of Skywalker was released, fan reviews of the film were polarizing. Some hated it, calling it nothing more than a money grab by Disney, while others praised the end of a nine-film franchise. 

    Watching the film three years after the end of the last film, I felt I could watch from a different, one that would not be clouded by fan opinion or recency bias. While I did try to simply enjoy the space-opera films, I also watched from a critical perspective, planning on ranking all of them after they were done. While I did enjoy some more than others, I thought they all were fairly entertaining, even if their runtime dragged. So, after watching 9 films in 10 days, here is my official rankings of Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
